Sulukin Arewan Zazzau
Shehu Usman Mohammed was born on 29th May 1966 in Zaria, Zaria Local Government area of Kaduna State.
He had his primary school education at Kwarbai Local Education Authority, Zaria City between 1972-1978 and later proceeded to Kufena College, Wusasa, Zaria, Kaduna State where he obtained his Secondary School Certificate and General Certificate of Education between 1978-1983.
Upon the completion of his secondary school education, Mohammed proceeded to College of Advance Studies, Zaria for his IJMB Certificate between 1984-1986 where he obtained requisite entry points to secure direct admission into the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he obtained Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting between 1986-1989.
Shehu Mohammed had a stint at Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation between 1990-1992 and later joined the services of Federal Road Safety Commission in 1992. He was posted to Kaduna State Sector Command as Sector Accountant. He moved to Sokoto same year where he became Zonal Accountant, the position he held between 1992 to 1996
Following the expansion of hierarchy at the National Headquarters of the Corps in 1996, which culminated in general enlistment of core professionals into the Corps, Commander Shehu Mohammed was moved to the National Headquarter as Staff Officer, Finance, the position he held from 1996-1999.
In recognition of the groundbreaking initiatives during his stewardship in Finance and Accounts department, especially in the areas of capacity building and team work, he was moved to Internal Audit as Deputy Head of Internal Audit, the position he held between 1999-2002.
Shehu Mohammed was posted back to Command formation to reinvigorate internal processes of Audit Section. He became Zonal Auditor, Zone RS1HQ-Kaduna in 2002 with his oversight functions covering Sector and Unit Commands under Kaduna, Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States.
In 2007, Shehu Mohammed was posted back to the National Headquarters of the Corps as Unit Head, Finance. In 2010 he rose to become Head of Section (Accounts) and held sway till 2012.
Following his promotion to the rank of Corps Commander (CC), Shehu Mohammed was moved to Corps Audit as Head of Internal Audit, National Headquarters, Abuja. He was later promoted to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) on the seat and has remained in the Office from 2013 to date.
He is currently serving as the Zonal Commanding Officer of Zone RS7, comprising of all operational commands within the FCT and Niger States.
In addition to his pre-enlistment academic records, Shehu Mohammed, in pursuit of hallmarks of relevance in the scheme of things, he acquired additional academic qualification of Bachelor of Art Degree in Business Administration from Birmingham City University, United Kingdom and Masters Degree in Projects Management from Salford University, United Kingdom respectively.

On the strength of his service commitment and rare leadership integrity, Shehu Mohammed has been variously honoured both by his employers and his immediate communities. He was a double-Awardee of FRSC Anti-Corruption and Transparency Monitoring Unit. He was recognized by the Unit as Most Appreciable and Accommodating Corps Officer in FRSC Headquarters, Abuja for year 2014 and Most Dedicated, Diligent and Disciplined Corps Officer in FRSC Headquarters, Abuja same year.
