The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 Borno State Governorship Election, Engr. Mustapha Gubio, FNSE, alongside the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Rt. Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, on Friday paid a royal courtesy and appreciation visit to the Shehu of Borno.

The visit was part of the APC’s ongoing statewide Appreciation Tour following the party’s successful governorship primary. The delegation included Sen. Kaka Shehu Lawan, SAN, APC Deputy Governorship Candidate Hon. Ali Abdullahi Isa, members of the National and State Assemblies, the APC State Chairman, Hon. Bello Ayuba, party executives, local government chairmen, and other stakeholders.

During the visit, Gubio thanked the Shehu for his fatherly guidance, prayers, and continued efforts toward peace and unity in Borno State. He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive, people-focused leadership and sustainable development.

Rt. Hon. Dalori also acknowledged the important role of the traditional institution in promoting peace, unity, and stability across the state.

In response, the Shehu of Borno welcomed the delegation and prayed for continued peace and prosperity in the state. He urged politicians, regardless of political affiliation, to embrace dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect, stressing that Borno’s progress should remain a collective responsibility.

The APC delegation thereafter proceeded to Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC) and Jere Local Government Areas, where Gubio and Dalori met with party leaders, traditional rulers, elders, women and youth groups, and other stakeholders to appreciate their support and loyalty.

Stakeholders in both LGAs reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and pledged continued support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The day’s activities concluded with prayers for peace, unity, stability, and prosperity in Borno State.
