Lalong Congratulates Emir of Zazzau on investiture, chancellor’s appointment…

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has congratulated the Emir of Zazzau Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli on his appointment as the Chancellor, University of Jos.
He also appreciated him on his investiture as Doctor of Law (causa)
The Governor made the commendation in his Goodwill message at the 33rd and 34th combined Convocation of the University held at the Convocation Arena, Naraguta Campus, Jos.
He expressed optimism that the University will attain greater heights under the leadership of Zazzau Monarch in view of his vast knowledge and contacts as a Lawyer, Diplomat, Banker and revered Royal Father.
“Let me also use this opportunity to warmly congratulate and welcome the newly appointed Chancellor of the University His Royal Highness Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli CFR, the Emir of Zazzau to Plateau State.
“I have no doubt that this university will attain greater heights under your leadership because of your vast knowledge and contacts as a Lawyer, Diplomat, Banker and revered Royal Father.” He stated.
The Governor who also congratulated other awardees of Honourary Doctorate Degrees including His Highness, said the academic comfirment was strickly base on merit and previous track record of achievements.
The Plateau State Governor, being an alumni of the University, hoped that by the appointment of Emir of Zazzau as the Chancellor, University of Jos will continue to grow from strength to strength academically.
