The Emir of Kano is Not Only a brother, He is Our Adviser – Umar Ado Bayero

Umar Ado Bayero is a younger brother to the Emir of Kano, HRH, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero in this interview with Eminence Royalty Magazine International, he talks about his relationship with the Emir and family ties.
Royalty Magazine: Sir, What special bond do you share with the Emir as a brother?
Umar: Besides being siblings, he is like an adviser to myself and other siblings and now that he is an Emir he is like a father to us.
Royalty Magazine: did his emergence cause any stir between your family and other ruling houses?
Umar: The house is one (Gidan Dabo) so, nobody showed any grieve even though there were other interested parties we all later came to an understanding. Therefore, everyone is happy.
Royalty Magazine: What are the leadership qualities you admire in him most?
Umar: Among his qualities are patience and perseverance after which he also has the ability to overlook at things when he is offended. All this are qualities required by a leader.
Royalty Magazine: We’ve interviewed a lot of people and they’ve said good thing about him, what would be your own addition?
Umar: I would not say anything because he is my brother, and I may sound selfish. So, what I’ll say is that those characters people have recognized him with, I pray that he upholds, build on them and emulate our late father.
