Ado Doguwa’s Nomination of Abbas Tajuddeen for Speakership Position was based on Capacity, Competence
The immediate past Majority Leader of the House, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, Sardaunan Rano who nominated Dr. Abas Tajudeen to contest the position of the Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives said it was in view of the Iyan Zazzau’s capacity and legislative experience.
He described him as competent, reliable and dependable who possess the ability to steer the Affairs of the hallow chamber delligently well. Doguwa also told his colleaques that Dr. Abas Tajuddeen has the capability to relate with all other arms of government to move the country forward.
The former Majority leader stated that the Iyan Zazzau’s commitment and hardwork that earned him a Barchelors degree from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto has prepared him to becoming a doctorate degree holder with vast Public and Private sector experience. He assured members of the National Assembly that Dr Tajuddeen is creditably refutable with proven legislative experience having spent over a decade in the House of Representatives whose competence is unquestionable.
According to Doguwa, the member representing Zaria federal constituency has 78 legislative bills to his credit with 20 already being ascented by the former president Muhammad Buhari. He therefore urged members of the Green chamber to ensure that Dr Abas Tajuddeen emerged victorious as the 10th Speaker of the House of Representatives for sustained Democratic gains in the country.
Recall that Dr.Abbas was the choice candidate of the All Progressives Congress, while Ado-Doguwa was a speakership aspirant who stepped down for the party’s candidate before election.
After Ado Doguwa’s nomination to vie for the Speakership position, Hon. Nnolim Nnaji from Enugu seconded the motion.
