Emir of Keffi, Alh (Dr) Shehu Chindo Yamusa III has been described as a veritable partner in the art of governance and development considering the exemplary leadership qualities he has displayed since appointed on throne, 6 years ago. The Nasarawa State Governor, Eng. Abdullahi Sule while felicitating with the Emir as he marked 6th anniversary of ascension to the throne of his forefathers, on 14th December, 2021.
Governor, Abdullahi Sule described the 6 years reign of Alhaji Shehu Yamusa lll as eventful, peaceful and progressive with a lot of achievements recorded. He praised the monarch for being a Father to all and for his uncommon display of philanthropy, forthrightness and wisdom while handling his royal responsibilities.
The Governor particularly commended the Emir for his show of compassion and consistency in supporting the less privileged children in the society to acquire education and for using his royal influence to attract development not only to his immediate domain but to the entire state. While describing the Keffi Emir as a critical partner of government on governance and development as well as for being an inspiration for the younger generation, the Governor prayed Almighty Allah to continue to guide the traditional ruler and grant him sound health, more wisdom and successful reign.
Eng.Abdullahi Sule pledged to continue to execute meaningful projects that will have direct bearing on the lives of the citizens, and recalled that in May, 2020 his administration flagged off N1.6 billion Neighborhood Market with over 500 locked up shops while the Keffi square has over 1,400 capacity seats.
He also pointed out the initiative of his government on its collaboration with Federal government to construct the Abuja-Keffi rail line which is aimed at easing traffic congestion on the Abuja- Keffi express way.
The Governor while congratulating the Emir, said his administration is committed to the provision of infrastructures to better the lives of the citizens.
He solicited for more support and cooperation both to the Emirate and the state for improved quality of human and capital development.
