Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero has been presented with Staff of office as the second emir of Bichi by Governor Eng. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on behalf of Kano state government on Saturday 21st August 2021.
Nasiru Ado Bayero is the biological younger brother to Aminu Ado Bayero, the current Emir of Kano.
Bayero, who is the erstwhile Ciroman Kano, has become the 2nd Emir of Bichi Emirate, after ascending the throne on 9 March 2019, and ascended the throne following his brother Aminu Ado Bayero’s appointment as the 15th Emir of Kano.
Until his appointment, Nasiru was the district head of Nassarawa, a metropolitan local government area in the state.
In his acceptance speech,the Emir of Bichi,Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero promised to be just and fair to all people in the emirate.and use his chain of connections to transform the human and infrastructural condition of Bichi emirate.
He assured his determination to to attract viable projects that will create job opportunities to youths and ensure construction of feeder roads that will link various communities in the emirate to the outside world.
Nasiru Ado Bayero also indicated readiness to facilitate the upgrade of the famous Dawanau Market for business and commercial activities.
The Emir therefore urged the people of the emirate to intensify efforts in enrolling their children into the basic education system as more digital opportunities will be provided in that regard.
He called on the government and other development partners, to continue to contribute their quota in addressing the problem of climate change to avoid desertification in the area.
‘I am calling on people to plant trees, enrol their children in schools and report suspicious persons to the traditional institutions and relevant security agencies for prompt action,” he said.
The emir thanked the Kano state Governor Eng.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and his administration as well as the good people of Bichi emirate for having confidence in his ability to lead as the second Emir of Bichi and pledged to reciprocate the gesture by living above board.
Nasiru Ado Bayero was earlier presented with traditional instruments of office including, knife, bow and arrow, traditional regalia known as”Alkebba” and Royal stick as a symbol of emirship.
The event was well attended by ministers, state governors, traditional rulers, members of national and state assemblies, friends and associates as well as captain of industries from within and outside the state.
