Sokoto was Agog, as 17 Jets, Kyari, CJN, Dangote and others arrived Sokoto for Sultan’s Daughter’s Wedding

The pride, princess Fatima married the son of former Bauchi State Governor, Mallam Isah Yaguda, Mahmood.
The historic wedding took place at the famous Sultan Bello Mosque, Sokoto. Chief Imam of the Mosque, Mallam Akwara superintended over the wedding in line with Islamic rites. The pride price of 50,000 was paid on behalf of the groom’s family by the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Adamu. The pride was represented by the Emir of Gwandu, Muhammadu Bashar.
The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) reported that not fewer than 17 private jets landed at the Sultan Abubakar III, lnternational airport sokoto. It was also gathered that Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari was represented by his chief of staff, Mr.Abba Kyari.
Also in attendance at the wedding were, the SGF, Mr.Boss Mustapha, Accountant General of the federation, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muhammad Adamu, former Governor of Bauchi state, Mallam Adamu Muazu, former Governor of sokoto state, Attahiru Bafarawa.
Equally, among the prominent personalities at the occasion were business mogul, Aliko Dangote, Dahiru Mangal e.t.c. The Governors that attended the occasion include, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of sokoto state, Governor of Kebbi, Zamfara, Imo, Delta, Plateau, Osun and Adamawa state. Many Royal Fathers also graced the occasion,among them were,Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sunusi II,Emirs of Argungu and Maradun e.t.c.
The wedding is historic as it serves as a renewal and the rejuvenation of an old relationship between Sokoto and Bauchi. It is an historical fact that Yakubu Bauchi was one of the original flag bearers of the Usman Danfodio Jihad.
